About the Contemporary Maple Mantel Clock

A masterful marriage of intricate woodwork and ceramic art! Handcrafted by the Schlabaugh Family of Iowa, the contemporary clock body consists of natural maple wood accented with walnut legs. The wood is inset with a clay tile featuring a cheerful trio of yellow grosbeak birds by mid-century modernist artist Charley Harper, known for his stylized interpretation of nature. Measuring 4" x 4", the distinctive tile is handmade in Michigan using traditional techniques. Perfect for a shelf, tabletop, or mantel, the clock stands nearly 12" high with a glass face and quartz movement. See more American-Made Wood and Tile Clocks
