About the Clay Birds
Handmade in North Carolina, each bird is individually sculpted in clay by the artist's hands, provided with textural details, glazed, and high-fired to a strong, permanent ceramic finish that is lead-free, food-safe, and fade-proof. The delightful clay birds measure 5" long and are available in your choice of 3 styles: Black Raven, Red Cardinal, or Blue Jay.

Note: Stoneware is safe for oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher use, but should not be used with a direct flame or on a stove-top. As with all pottery, stoneware should not be placed in a refrigerator when the surface is hot, placed under water when hot, or in a stove/microwave when chilled. Always begin from room temperature or close to room temperature.
