About the Artisan Glass & Gold Plate Peacock Brooch
Jewelry artisan Michael Vincent Michaud has trained with leading American glass artists and honed his craft through years of dedicated work in both glass and metal. Today, he blends masterful glass techniques, jewelry-making expertise, and refined design sensibility to create colorful works of wearable art.
The brooch pin features oval and teardrop shapes of recycled glass, cast by hand with a soft satin finish and luminous peacock-inspired hues of turquoise and teal. The lovely glass segments are cradled in hand-cast bronze surroundings, arranged in a pattern reminiscent of peacock feathers, and layered in 24k gold with a matte finish to create a tasteful color combination. Standard bar pin design on reverse.
Handmade in New York. As the glass is hand-cast, small variations in shape and clarity are to be expected and adds artistic character.
