About the Sterling Silver Hummingbird Wings Necklace
The mesmerizing flight of a hummingbird is always a joy to behold, as their beating wings move rapidly in a figure-eight pattern similar to the infinity symbol. Thus, hummingbirds are often thought to represent infinity and happiness. An original design cast in solid .925 sterling silver, a pair of hummingbird wings drape upon a European sterling silver spiga chain with a finished length of approx 17" (this shorter length allows the wings to spread slightly). Cast by hand in Vermont using the traditional art of lost wax casting from the artist's sculpted mold, the solid silver wings each measure 1.5".
