About the Modernist Pewter Cubist Color Bracelet
Inspired by modernist architecture and mid-century art movements, Canadian jewelry artist Sonia Ferland creates wonderful, affordable works of wearable art with contemporary appeal. With influences of Cubism and De Stijl art movements, as well as Montreal's landmark Habitat building, the cubist bracelet is comprised of cast pewter cube segments joined by stretchable elastic. Resin blocks in neutral white, black, and bronze colors provide visual interest and further emphasize the interaction between positive and negative spaces. Bracelet measures 7.25 interior circumference, stretchable to larger sizes. Artist designed and made in Quebec, Canada.
- What is pewter? Pewter is a white metal alloy consisting of tin with small amounts of antimony and copper. Frequently used for kitchenware and jewelry, pewter is completely lead-free, doesn't tarnish, and requires very little care.
