About the Fuchsia Flower Earrings

The lovely pink color of the fuchsia flower is the result of vitreous enameling, the process of firing hand-painted glass powder at a temperature of 1400-degrees for a smooth, permanent application. Brass metal provides the base palette for the glass powder, and each is fired 3 times with layers of enamel to create an organic, variegated appearance in the color. Below the pink petals, 24k gold-plated stamens freely swing with movement. Measuring 2.25" long overall, the fuchsia earrings dangle upon long, hand-formed 24-karat gold-plated brass earwires.
