A gorgeous strand of 66 purple amethyst stones is accented with a cross of reclaimed copper to create a look that is equally artsy and elegant. Associated with faith and piety, amethyst gemstones and the color purple are revered in Christianity and Catholicism. Enhanced with copper beads, the amethyst necklace provides the foundation for a Mission Cross pendant handcrafted of polished reclaimed copper. A popular heraldry symbol for glory, faith, protection, and spirit, the Mission Cross is a crosslet composed of 4 Latin crosses, each facing the 4 cardinal directions (North, South, East, and West). Enhanced with a patina from fire, the copper pendant measure 1" on each side. The necklace measures 18" in length and features a hand-formed copper clasp. Made by hand in Colorado, the jewelry artisans place emphasis on natural materials with eco-friendly qualities.

About the copper: The pendant and clasp are crafted with reclaimed copper using sustainable and responsible methods. Although crafted of pure copper metal, the "pure" copper may contain trace elements of zinc and/or tin, which are considered beneficial nutrients. However, the copper is completely nickel-free.
