About the Flowering Tulip Brooch
Recognized as a sign of spring and a symbol of happiness and affection, the tulip flower is beloved the world over. Perched above brass leaves, a bouquet of tulip blossoms of hand-cast artisan glass catch the light.
Crafted in Connecticut, the metal foliage is solid high-quality bronze cast using the 'lost wax method' from the artist's original sculpture and provided with a hand-finished patina of green. Glass portions are kiln-fired and cast by hand, in colorful tones of pink, purple, and yellow. The brooch measures 2 inches high and includes a standard brass bar pin on the reverse.
Please note: Because the artisan glass is hand-cast, small variations are to be expected and adds unique artistic character.
