About the Hedgehog Pincushion
Meet 'Prickles' the Hedgehog, a unique pairing of stoneware pottery and felted wool!
Handmade in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, the pincushion cup begins life on the pottery wheel, formed from stoneware clay. Following the addition of the hand-sculpted face, tail and feet, the clay cup is kiln-fired to a durable, permanent finish. The interior of the cup is outfitted with a pincushion crafted of 100% wool, individually needle-felted by hand with polka-dot pattern. Prickles' spiny back becomes a sculptural showcase for your favorite pins and needles!
