About the Whimsical Face Vase

A traditional art form in African culture and a mainstay in folk art of the American South, face jugs (also known as ugly jugs) and face pots have long provided a sense of enjoyment from the fables and mystique often associated with them. Using traditional techniques, our Georgia artisan individually builds and sculpts face vases of durable stoneware clay with a wonderfully whimsical expression.
Available in 3 styles, each bud vase stands between 5 and 6 inches. Vases sold individually - choose from tilted red (with open mouth), chestnut brown (with moustache), or teal green.
