About the Stoneware Pottery Small Pet Urn
Individually hand-sculpted on a traditional pottery wheel, this little work of art provides a forever home for the remains of your cherished pet. With an interior capacity of approximately 46 cubic inches, the urn is suitable for cats or small dogs up to 35-40 pounds. The urn includes a lid stamped with a paw print and a single-use tube of adhesive that may be used to permanently seal the lid if desired.
Made by hand in North Carolina, the durable high-fired stoneware pottery is lead free and available in a choice of 2 hand-applied glaze colors:
Tuscan Farmhouse (an earthy blend of beige, brown, and blue/green colors) or
Midnight Blue (layers of deep blue shades)
Urn Volume: The general rule for urn volume is one cubic inch per pound of body weight (and many suggest allowing at least 10-15% additional volume). A 20 lb pet would require a volume of 20 to 25 cubic inches. This urn has an capacity of approximately 46 cubic inches.
