Each stoneware birdhouse is individually thrown on the pottery wheel and provided with hand-sculpted facial details - wide eyes, floppy hat, big whiskers, and an open mouth that serves as the 1.25" birdhouse entrance (ideal for a variety of nesting songbirds). The final creation is provided with an earthy moss-green glaze and kiln-fired to provide a sturdy weather-resistant finish that can be enjoyed outdoors year-round during sun, rain, and snow.

> Why is there no perch on the birdhouse?
Perches are not recommended for birdhouses, as the perch can provide access to potential predators. Birds can easily enter without the use of a perch.
> Where should I mount my birdhouse? It is recommended to hang houses away from bird feeders, as the feeders attract too many close-by visitors. Do not hang in direct sun on the south or southwest side of a wall, as this could result in the bird house being too hot.
