About the Old Romany 2-Bowl Serving Set

Terra cotta pottery has been a favorite in the kitchen for 10,000 years. Today, our potters still build timeless functional works from the durable clay with a contemporary style. Made by hand in Oregon, the bowls are sculpted by hand, intricately painted with underglazes of rich color, provided with a durable lead-free glossy glaze, and fired multiple times to 2000 degrees for a strong, permanent finish.

With a black backdrop, the Old Romany motif features an intricate hand-painted floral pattern with old world charm. Heavy and substantial, the serving bowl set includes one 10.5" bowl and one 7.75" bowl, both versatile serving sizes for a variety of meals, sides, or snacks. The bowls are lead-free, dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and oven safe.

Note: Each Old Romany bowl is made one-at-a-time. Due to the completely handmade nature of this item, slight variations in the bowl shape and pattern will occur.

Note: Terra Cotta pottery is safe for the oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, but should not be used with a direct flame or on a stove-top. As with all pottery, the tray should not be placed in a refrigerator when the surface is hot or in a stove/microwave when chilled. Always begin from room temperature or close to room temperature.
